This performance was commissioned by Sound Artist Craig Cox as part of his Musicians-in-Residence 2018 residency at dlr Lexicon, a scheme jointly funded by Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council and the Arts Council, managed by Music Network.
This commission was for a set of three multichannel soundscape compositions to be diffused live in collaboration with a live instrumental set of four pieces composed and performed by Craig Cox on violin and electronics, his frequent collaborator Aoife Hammond, an experimental guitarist and Sebastian Jezzi, jazz drummer.
We integrated the seven pieces to create a one-hour performance combining live and fixed media to create coherence and flow between our pieces, linking them with percussive rhythms, textural sounds and pitched materials.
I performed my multichannel works Orford Ness, Limpopo and Paddabolela.
